Thanks for your quick reply.  Before I start going down that road, do you happen to have a feel for how fast we could get the system to boot provided we got a faster Linux image?  I assume there's still spent in BIOS that we won't be able to eliminate as well.

Do you think it would be a few seconds or tens of seconds?
